Our **Customer Service Advocate – Patient Care** are dedicated team members who excel at customer service. In this crucial role, you are on the front lines with Pharmacists, responding to claim inquiries and addressing each with care, detail, and most importantly, empathy. You will leverage your strong problem-solving skills to resolve patient concerns, troubleshoot prescription claim issues, and guide pharmacy staff through resolution steps. Your ability to analyze situations, adapt quickly, and find effective solutions ensures that every patient receives timely and accurate support, contributing to a positive healthcare experience.
**How You’ll Make an Impact**
+ **Support retail pharmacies with confidence:** Serve as the primary point of contact for pharmacy staff, providing accurate patient and benefit information.
+ **Resolve claim rejections:** Research and troubleshoot prescription claim issues, guiding pharmacies through resolution steps to ensure timely medication access.
+ **Answer pharmacy inquiries directly:** Respond to retail pharmacies regarding patient eligibility, benefit coverage, and prior authorization requirements.
+ **Document interactions in real time:** Capture all details accurately during calls to maintain compliance and ensure seamless follow-up.
+ **Escalate complex issues appropriately:** Identify situations requiring additional support and route them to the correct team for resolution.
**What We’re Looking For**
+ High School Diploma or GED (required)
+ 1+ year of relevant experience in Customer Service required; 6 months+ of Pharmacy Help Desk knowledge preferred
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general PC skills
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Experience handling pharmacy benefit inquiries and claim troubleshooting
+ Ability to troubleshoot claims rejections and pharmacy concerns and guide Pharmacists through resolution steps
+ Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17.75 - 19 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
