Job DescriptionAt Syngenta, our goal is to cultivate the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture by providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that enhance farmers' success. To achieve this, our Marketing l team is seeking a Customer Marketing Lead. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing grower customer campaigns, including targeted strategies, tactics, and offers at both the grower and channel levels, to drive commercial objectives. The role involves collaborating closely with other members of the Marketing team, Commercial Sales, Key Account Management, and many other stakeholders to ensure a positive Syngenta customer experience.
We have a Flexible Work Location approach, and this role can be based in our offices in Calgary, AB; Guelph, ON, or remotely across Canada with preference given to Ontario and Western Canada.
This is an 18-month contract position.
Accountabilities:
Lead Campaign planning process to develop the objectives and strategies to achieve the Must Win Battles aligned to our customers.Key liaison between front line salesforce and marketing teams.Leading change of the commercial go-to-market approach.Understand grower needs and utilize customer segmentation to create meaningful customer offers and a positive experience that enhances loyalty and brand adoption.Set direction to the Canadian Business to guide positioning, messaging and activities to help achieve the Must Wins.Interpretation of market dynamics and market intelligence to develop deep understanding of the channel and competition.Establish and track agreed-to market share and contribution objectives.Key collaborator with Marketing Operations on the tactic implementation plan.Set direction and provide market context to Branding and Content on materials needed to support the tactical plans.Work with the Program Lead for the development of programs (broad and targeted).QualificationsRequired:
Minimum B.Sc. in the Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing/Communications or related field.5+ years of Strategic Sales and/or Customer Marketing experience within the Agriculture industry.In-depth knowledge and understanding of crop protection products.Excellent communications (i.e., PowerPoint, oral and written), interpersonal, negotiating, analytical, problem solving/decision making, teamwork and planning/organizing skills.Knowledge of principles of marketing including campaigns, marketing best practice, CRM , segmentation and long-term valuation.Knowledge of Canadian agriculture including agronomic, seed and chemical crop protection practices.Knowledge of communication principles and techniques, knowledge of market dynamics, competitive environment and able to use market research effectively to understand customer, markets and channels.Market Segmentation.Preferred:
