**Job Title: Custodial Worker** Job Description The custodial worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of office buildings and designated shop areas. This role requires an individual who is calm, friendly, reliable, and professional, with experience in janitorial tasks, preferably within an office or industrial setting. Responsibilities + Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. + Maintain cleanliness in offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, conference rooms, lunchroom, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. + Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms and replace supplies as needed. + Sweep and mop floors. + Clean and vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and window coverings, and dust furniture and equipment. + Polish metalwork. + Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, and sills as needed. + Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas. + Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies, and properly use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools. Essential Skills + Professional demeanor and ability to handle unexpected situations. + High level of dependability with stellar attendance and punctuality. + Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions. + Proper use of equipment and materials. + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions. + Ability to address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum of 2 years of related janitorial or custodial experience in an office and/or industrial setting. The environment includes moderate noise levels. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
