Lead the development and maintenance of product requirements and specifications for image quality features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions into system architecture.
Identify and mitigate design risks through proactive analysis and risk management strategies.
Drive verification activities to confirm designs meet specifications and performance expectations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support submission documentation (e.g., 510(k), IEC standards).
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Champion engineering best practices and innovation.
Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Own phantom development (clinical and calibration) and validation to support robust image quality testing and regulatory submissions.
Own development and maintenance of tools and process for Image Quality development.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in engineering roles, with 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering test and verification activities, including developing test plans, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with technical requirements and standards.
Demonstrated industry experience in applying engineering principles and practices beyond academic or research, including hands-on involvement in product development, testing, and validation within a commercial or regulated environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of CT image quality design and image quality metrics
Expertise in risk management, verification methodologies, and design control processes.
Desired CharacteristicsFamiliarity with IEC standards (e.g., IEC 60601-2-44) and FDA regulatory requirements.
Experience with phantom design, image quality metrics, and testing protocols
Experience in CT image quality design, including defining image quality requirements, optimizing system parameters, and applying reconstruction and artifact reduction techniques to meet clinical and performance goals.
