What You'll Be Doing

The Crisis Intervention Specialist will be responsible for the following:

Plans and provides mental health screening assessmentscrisis supportive interventionsdispositions and referrals in consultation with the on-call psychiatrist and or with the coordinator for patients in crisisConduct crisis counseling for patients in crisis situations / bereavementconduct comprehensive clinical assessmentassess for suicide and homicide risk in the Emergency Department.

This is a Per-Diem position with a flex/varied schedule

What We're Looking For Bachelors degree required in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related fields.Masters degree preferred. 2 –4 years Related Experience, knowledge of DSM- V diagnosis and psychotropic medications.
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.Knowledge of Crisis Intervention & Prevention. Ability to organize, prioritize & manage multiple projects and follow through to ensure tasks are complete.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to identify and resolve problems, ability to work in a dynamic environment, and computer lite
