Job Title: Credit Specialist
Looking for a credit specialist in the Greater Memphis Area. There are two shifts for this role.
The shifts are as follows:
+ 8AM CST - 5PM CST
+ 10AM CST - 7PM CST
Job Description
The Credit Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and resolving outstanding items from the online credit application portal, gathering information about clients seeking credit accounts, and assessing, analyzing, and interpreting complex credit information. This role ensures company credit exposures are within set risk-bearing limits, reviews credit applications, and establishes new accounts with appropriate credit limits. Additionally, the Credit Specialist will create C.O.D. accounts, review existing accounts for credit limit increases, maintain the customer master file, and assist customers and store managers with credit issues, including account reactivations. An in-depth quarterly review on top accounts is also required.
Essential Skills
+ Customer service skills.
+ Data entry proficiency.
+ Thorough understanding of the complete Accounts Receivable process.
+ Intermediate computer skills, with the ability to learn new systems.
+ General working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
+ Keen understanding of risk analysis.
+ Knowledge of current key issues affecting credit, such as legal, market risk, and compliance issues.
+ Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Experience using Dun & Bradstreet (DNB) business credit reports.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
Work Environment
This position is onsite at a corporate work environment. After the training/onboarding period, a hybrid schedule is available. The company offers an on-site gym facility and a walking trail.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
