Credit Risk Analyst
Description Position Summary The Global Credit and Risk Analyst is responsible for managing credit risk across a global customer portfolio totaling approximately $1.5B in exposure. This role partners closely with regional finance teams, sales leadership, and global stakeholders to evaluate creditworthiness, set and monitor credit limits, mitigate financial risk, and support revenue growth while ensuring compliance with Sensient’s credit policies. The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis skills with sound business judgment, the ability to influence stakeholders, and experience operating in a complex, multinational environment. Key Responsibilities -Manage and analyze credit risk for a global portfolio of customers, balancing risk mitigation with business growth objectives across multiple regions and markets. -Perform detailed credit evaluations, including financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, ratio analysis, and review of external credit reports. -Establish, review, and adjust customer credit limits and payment terms in accordance with corporate credit policies and risk tolerance. -Partner with Sales, Finance, and regional leadership to support customer onboarding, contract negotiations, and credit-related decision making. -Monitor customer payment performance, aging trends, and exposure levels; proactively identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies. -Support collections strategy and dispute resolution efforts for complex or high-risk accounts, escalating issues as appropriate. -Contribute to the development, enhancement, and consistent application of global credit policies, procedures, and internal controls. -Prepare and present credit risk analysis, reporting, and recommendations to management and leadership. -Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within Global Credit & Risk. -Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards across regions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. -3–5+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, corporate finance, or a related discipline. -Demonstrated experience managing or supporting large, complex customer portfolios, preferably in a global or multinational environment. -Strong financial analysis skills, including interpretation of financial statements and assessment of credit risk. -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, analysis, pivot tables) and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred). -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present risk-based recommendations clearly and confidently. -Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications -Experience supporting manufacturing or B2B industrial environments. -Exposure to international credit risk, including foreign currencies, country risk, and global trade considerations. -Knowledge of credit insurance, letters of credit, and other risk mitigation instruments. -Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Treasury teams. -Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CTP, or Credit Risk Certification (a plus). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
