Credit Ops Analyst

Do you have a passion providing a best-in-class experience for customers and employees? Our Card Lending Services Team has an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven commercial underwriting abilities. 

As a Credit Ops Analyst in Card Lending Services, you will underwriting new applications as well as existing corporate liability credit requests, with a strong focus on credit quality and risk assessment. You will work with commercial credit applications along with interfacing and building strong working relationships with internal partners such as Business Bankers, Business Development and Risk Policy is another important component of the role.

Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrate the ability to spread business financial statements/tax returns, perform ratio analysis, complete risk assessment, and make sound credit decisions and recommendations via written and verbal presentations  Experienced in supporting recommendations when challenged and in negotiating counteroffers, where appropriate  Proficient in credit/lending transactions and analytical skill sufficient to enable independent underwriting of commercial requests for lines of moderate to large size and complexity with limited guidance required from immediate manager  Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills  Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers and with various levels of management  Collaborate effectively in a team environment  Adopt the flexibility in adapting to changing volumes and areas of focus (new applications versus portfolio reviews versus initiation of collections, etc.)  Investigate, recommend and initiate process improvements  Possess accounting and finance knowledge, and commercial banking experience

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Minimum one year commercial credit lending experience  Commercial credit card lending experience  Computer skills specific to Microsoft products and proprietary systems  Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline (MBA a plus)  Successful completion of a major corporate bank commercial training program or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance or accounting experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 

Ability to multitask using a computer and simultaneously provide customer support  Comfortable in a fast-paced, consistently changing environment  Previous experience working in a Financial and Call Center  Have a passion for helping people by solving problems, presenting, and explaining solutions 

Work Schedule: 

Candidates must be willing and able to work schedules during our operating hours, which may include evenings and weekends. Specific schedule information will be provided by the Recruiter. 

 

Training:

 At the start of your employment with us, you will be in training. This training is essential to your success so your attendance and punctuality during training is mandatory. In addition, we will evaluate your knowledge and performance during and after completion of training. Both your successful completion of training and our evaluation that you are ready to move into your role are requirements for your continued employment. Your schedule for training is as follows: Monday – Friday 6:30AM - 3:30PM

 

 Panel Process: 

All New Hires are required to complete and successfully pass the Panel Evaluation during training in order to obtain Lending Authority.  The Panel Evaluation Process is a component of training that evaluates your ability to apply the learned JPMC Lending Philosophy.  In addition to fulfilling all other expectations of the position, your continued employment with Chase will be contingent on successfully passing the panel evaluation.
