Job Title: Credit and Collections SpecialistJob Description

Join a national distributor of construction, fastening, industrial, and packaging supplies as a Credit Specialist. Be a part of a dynamic team that values reliability, integrity, and performance. In this role, you will manage invoice collections and resolve customer account issues, ensuring accounts remain within agreed credit terms.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate invoice collections and resolve customer account issues.Work independently to ensure accounts remain within agreed credit terms.Analyze delinquent accounts and initiate collection efforts based on due date and balance.Improve receivable turnover through proactive follow-up and communication.Collaborate with branch managers and sales teams to align on collection strategies.Maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.Escalate financial concerns or risks to management as needed.Perform cash application and business-to-business collections, focusing on building relationships with customers.Essential SkillsMinimum 3 years of experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable.1+ years collections experience, or at least some exposure to avoid extensive training.High School Diploma or GED required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work independently.Additional Skills & Qualifications5 years of experience preferred, with a mix of credit and collections.Background in the construction or industrial supply industry preferred.Any knowledge of construction is a plus but training will be provided.Work Environment

The position offers a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and an option for 7-4 or 8-5. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, ensuring a balanced work-life environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
