Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Credit and Collections Specialist to investigate and analyze credit applications, approve credit limits, and ensure financial stability using Dun & Bradstreet within established company guidelines. This role involves managing assigned accounts, processing credit memos, and reconciling customer disputes to reduce delinquency and improve cash flow.

ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and analyze credit applications and approve credit limits.Monitor and maintain assigned accounts, including customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write-offs, and customer reconciliations.Process credit memos and post daily cash from customers.Collect overdue accounts and reconcile customer disputes related to outstanding balances.Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts.Provide weekly and monthly reporting to management.Participate in monthly AR review meetings with Finance and Sales teams.Collaborate with Sales and senior management to expedite collections.Perform month-end close duties as per company cadence.Identify improvement opportunities and participate in lean improvement projects.Assist with periodic audits and perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills2-5 years of experience in a high-volume corporate collection environment.Experience in cash applications and professional collection.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS.Experience with large ERP systems.High School Diploma.Additional Skills & QualificationsSAP experience is highly preferred.Experience dealing with disputes.Associate's or Bachelor's degree.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Commitment to excellent customer service.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.Work Environment

This position requires onsite presence until fully trained (30-90 days), after which it transitions to a hybrid model of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. You will work in an open space environment at the headquarters, with your own cubicle alongside your team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Collins, Colorado. It will be between 6-18 months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
