Credit and Collection Specialist
Our client, a leader in financial services, is seeking a Credit and Collection Specialist to join their team. As a Credit and Collection Specialist, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Collections Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving, and a customer-focused approach, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Credit and Collection Specialist **Location:** Somerset, NJ **Pay Range:** $30.39 **Shift:** Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM **What's the Job?** + Review orders on credit hold and determine whether to release the order or keep it on hold pending resolution of the customers' accounts. + Collect monies owed from delinquent accounts within an assigned portfolio and provide guidance to Sales Consultants regarding collection efforts. + Identify potential bad debt accounts and attempt collection; escalate cases to management for further action or guidance as necessary. + Respond to customer statement inquiries, answer correspondence and phone requests from customers and Sales Consultants, and solicit information from Sales regarding returned mail. + Assist in reconciling customer accounts as needed to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. **What's Needed?** + Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. + 3-5 years of related Credit & Collections experience. + Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with strong interpersonal and professional interactive abilities. + Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management, and inter-department staff. + Proven capability to work proactively and constructively with internal staff from other departments. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. + Gain valuable experience in credit and collections within a reputable organization. + Potential for professional growth and development. + Engage in meaningful work that impacts the company's financial health. + Work on-site in a collaborative setting with local colleagues.
