Responsibilities include spreading financial statements, evaluating credit quality and risk, ensuring documentation and policy compliance, and assisting with loan package presentations. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, proficiency in Excel and Word, and a solid understanding of commercial and consumer lending. A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and prior credit analysis experience at a financial institution are preferred. Responsibilities:Prepare and standardize borrower financial statements for internal review and analysisAnalyze financial performance, cash flow, and repayment capacity to support credit decisionsAssist loan officers with assembling complete and well-supported credit packagesReview larger or more complex credit requests for accuracy, structure, and risk qualityEnsure loan files meet internal policy standards and applicable regulatory requirementsAssign internal risk ratings in accordance with established credit and loan review guidelinesIdentify documentation gaps or inconsistencies and work with lending staff to resolve themProvide analytical insights and written feedback to lending teams to support sound underwriting decisionsMaintain organized records and manage multiple credit requests while meeting deadlinesUse financial analysis tools, spreadsheets, and online resources to support research and credit evaluations Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related fieldCoursework should include a minimum of 12 credit hours in accountingAt least two years of hands-on experience performing credit analysis within a financial institutionWorking knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate, and consumer lending productsFamiliarity with bank lending policies, credit procedures, and relevant state and federal regulationsStrong financial analysis skills, including the ability to assess cash flow, leverage, and repayment capacityProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to build and interpret financial spreadsheetsExperience using credit analysis or spreading software; exposure to Sageworks is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial findingsStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesDetail-oriented, analytical, and able to exercise sound judgment when evaluating credit risk Benefits and Perks:$27-$37/hrMedical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Holidays, Vacation and Sick PTOTraining & Growth Your New Organization:The organization is a community-focused financial institution that provides a range of commercial and consumer banking services. The base pay range for this position is $27-$37/hr, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
