Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Creative Director to join the Audio Video Division in Minnetonka, MN. The Creative Director is responsible for leading Legrand’s creative vision and ensuring brand consistency across all marketing channels. This role oversees the development of compelling, innovative, and on-brand creative assets that support business objectives and enhance customer engagement. The Creative Director will manage a team of designers, writers, and multimedia specialists, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external agencies.

 

What Will You Do?

Lead Creative Strategy: Define and execute creative direction for integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Brand Stewardship: Partner with Central Marketing to maintain, evolve, and enforce Legrand’s visual identity and brand guidelines across all platforms, internally and with external vendors. Team Leadership & Development: Provide direct supervision, coaching, and career development for the internal creative team, including writers, graphic designers, and multimedia designers.  Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement through effective feedback and leadership. Performance Management: Oversee all aspects of performance management, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and employee recognition.  Project Oversight: Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality creative assets across digital, print, video, and experiential marketing channels.  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Channel Marketing, and Project Managers to align creative output with strategic goals, project scope, and timelines. Vendor & Agency Management: Direct and manage external agencies and freelancers providing services such as photography, image rendering, motion graphics, animation, video production, and writing. Quality Assurance: Review and approve creative work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards and messaging. Innovation & Best Practices: Stay current with design trends, tools, technologies, and best practices. Apply innovative strategies throughout the creative process—from concept and execution to final deliverables—to continuously elevate the quality of marketing materials. Process Improvement: Initiate, develop, and support the implementation of processes and procedures that improve workflow efficiency and effectiveness. Budget Accountability: Maintain accountability for accurate budgeting, cost estimates, and multiple bids related to creative and marketing spend. Digital & Multi-Channel Strategy: Contribute to and support online strategies that drive successful multi-channel marketing campaigns. Compliance & Ethics: Uphold compliance by maintaining confidentiality, protecting company assets, acting with integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures. Safety: Promote workplace safety by proactively identifying, preventing, and reporting hazards or injuries, and by participating in safety programs and initiatives. Core Values: Demonstrate and model Legrand’s core values of Customer, People, Integrity, Teamwork, Continuous Learning & Improvement, and Empowerment & Accountability.  Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications or related field with 8+ years of related professional experience (graphic design, communications, brand management, creative process/workflows), or a combination of relevant education and experience Direct management/supervisory experience 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Strong understanding of marketing tools, media, methodologies, and the creative workflow, with hands-on experience using Adobe Creative Suite, digital design tools, marketing automation platforms, project management systems, and web analytics. Deep knowledge of branding, storytelling, and integrated marketing, with the ability to translate core business needs into strategic, creative solutions that align with Legrand’s brand voice and differentiating principles. Proven people leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead, mentor, train, motivate, and effectively delegate within high-performing teams. Comfortable providing and receiving creative direction and constructive feedback. Excellent written, verbal, non-verbal, presentation, and design communication skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to clearly and consistently articulate brand messaging. Highly organized with strong project management, planning, and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple approvals. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues using judgment consistent with company standards, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Positive, highly creative, and technically savvy professional with a strong sense of accountability, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Preferred experience with marketing automation platforms and project management tools 

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 – $120,000 annually
