Job Title: Crate Builder
Job Description

The Crate Builder is responsible for constructing durable wooden crates and packaging structures used to transport and protect manufactured goods. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and basic carpentry skills to ensure products are safely secured for shipment.

ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or specifications to determine crate dimensions and materials.Measure, cut, and assemble wooden components using hand and power tools.Build crates tailored to the size, weight, and fragility of the product.Apply protective coatings or treatments to wood when necessary.Safely operate equipment such as saws, nail guns, drills, and forklifts.Inspect finished crates for quality, durability, and compliance.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.Collaborate with shipping and production teams to meet daily output goals.Perform repairs or modifications to damaged crates as needed.Essential SkillsHand tool proficiencyCrate building expertiseGeneral labor skillsTape measure accuracyPower tool operationCarpentry knowledgeMaterial handlingAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ years of experience in carpentry, woodworking, or crate buildingAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsFamiliarity with woodworking tools and safety proceduresPhysical ability to lift and maneuver materials up to 50 lbsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsBasic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensionsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is industrial with a shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm. Employees are expected to operate within this timeframe while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean workspace.

This is a Contract position based out of Peachtree City, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $18.00/hr.
