**Job Title: Crane Mechanic** **Job Description** Join our team as a Crane Mechanic and bring your expertise in maintenance and repair to our dynamic and friendly shop environment. You will be involved in building, maintaining, and repairing cranes, ensuring their optimal performance. **Responsibilities** + Build cranes and perform regular maintenance. + Conduct preventative maintenance on cranes. + Attach cranes to trucks for transportation. + Perform welding tasks as needed. + Utilize hand tools efficiently. + Conduct electrical work with 12 and 24 volt DC currents. + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. + Operate cranes as necessary for repairs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + People skills and basic computer skills. + Experience working on a farm is a plus. + DC electrical experience, 12 and 24 volt. + Experience as a crane mechanic is advantageous, but not required. + Welding experience, especially MIG welding, is ideal but not mandatory. + Valid driver's license. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a laid-back shop environment with a competitive pay rate. You will engage in both light and heavy mechanical work, sometimes interacting with customers. The role involves working independently and collaboratively in a clean shop, alongside six other mechanics. The shop can be cold in winter and hot in summer. The position offers first shift hours from Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm, with potential overtime options. Saturday hours are optional. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position with a view to becoming a permanent team member. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manheim, PA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
