NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Craft CMS Web Designer to join our join our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL. This is an on-site position.

 

The Web Designer builds and maintains websites using the Craft CMS platform, translating designs into responsive and functional sites.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

Build custom templates and front-end experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Twig templating languageDevelop and customize back-end development with PHPInstalling and configuring plugins, performing updates, and ensuring site security and performanceManage code repositoryCraft CMS updatesWebsite plugin managementManage production siteManage live siteMaintain/update the website’s Accessibility featuresUpdate current pages as neededAbility to build now modules and update existing modulesCreate new pagesCreate new landing pagesProvide guidance on website design best practices includingUXMaintain an acceptable site speedMobile responsivenessTechnical SEO Maintain site securityManage hosting and domainsIntegrate and customizing Google APIs, social media channels, etc. Qualifications

Qualifications

Must have strong skills in web design, from page concept (wireframes) through development and testing.Experience with measuring page/site performance in order to implement UX and SEO improvements.Experience in the Craft CMS platform including installation, configuration, and upgrades is a must. WordPress experience is a plus. Expertise using Git for version control.Basic knowledge of databases is required.Understanding of content modeling and how it translates to CMS implementations is valuable.Must have the ability to effectively communicate with employees and other departments.Excellent skills in the areas of organization, time management and an ability to manage multiple tasks are necessary.Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and legal requirements.Interested candidates should be prepared to provide 3-5 webpage examples they developed in Craft CMS.Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
