EDEC 612. Digital Media and Learning.
This course addresses emerging theories, pedagogies, and practices related to youth learning through digital media and online participatory cultures. Through direct engagement with multiple forms of digital media and youth, students will consider implications for teaching and learning within and beyond schools.

Education
PhD (in exceptional cases, PhD candidates and master teachers with an MA with extensive relevant experience will be considered)
Experience
Expert knowledge of and experience in course content, (as per current e-calendar description) and including knowledge of 3-portfolio design (if course section includes MATL students)
Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP)
Familiarity with the professional competencies specified in the Ministère de l’Éducation (if course section includes MATL students)
Experience teaching in the Quebec school system
Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the university level
Other
A commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors
Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting in advance of course start date
