**Job Title: Counter Sales** **Job Description** As a Counter/Warehouse Associate, you will provide on-site counter assistance to help customers determine the best products to suit their needs. You will also fulfill orders based on pick tickets for customer pick-up or shipment. **Responsibilities** + Receive verbal orders via telephone, electronically, walk-ins, and fax. + Interact and coordinate with warehouse personnel. + Support Outside Sales Representatives. + Process orders and handle data entry. + Manage non-inventory and credit processing. + Notify customers of backorders and handle fab-ticket processing. + Receive and acknowledge customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. + Develop customer relationships to ensure trust and loyalty. + Ensure that customer requirements are met when quoting material and/or fabrication costs. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience in customer service and counter sales. + Computer proficiency with skills in Outlook, some Excel, and MRP or ERP systems. + Sales experience with a focus on the fire sprinkler industry. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior experience in a retail sales setting. + Forklift experience with a valid certification preferred. + Ability to lift and move over 50lbs. + Practical knowledge of warehouse, data processing, paper flow, and operations procedures. + Working knowledge of materials used within the Fire Protection Industry. **Why Work Here?** Join an employee-owned company that values long-term, permanent hires.
