Overview Foot Locker, Inc. is looking to hire a Cost Optimizer for our EMEA, Store Development team. The Cost Optimizer will be responsible for creating essential reports and providing documents for the management team that will allow them to make business decisions. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing management with necessary analytics. The Cost Optimizer role provides high-level analysis and coordination for the Sr. Operations Manager and the Sr. Director of EMEA Store Development. The Cost Optimizer is conversant in English and works independently and must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Cost Optimizer handles a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth daily Operations of a business. Responsibilities Estimate cost, scope and time to accurately budget funds and resources needed for project success Process highly confidential information, maintaining and respecting confidentiality. Preparing and maintaining operations documents and reports for senior mgmt. Managing and tracking project forecast, Store Development department forecast Preparing cost risk report for business visibility. Alignment with our global finance team on forecast reporting. Cost controlling invoices. Design and maintain clear cost management guides to ensure consistency of operations. Collaborate with various stakeholders on cost ideas and understand ongoing cost optimization initiatives to leverage synergies and drive efficiencies. Identify areas of cost optimization, process optimization, automation, etc. which can bring in efficiency and improve profits. Identifies key opportunities for cost savings initiatives through value engineering, benchmarking and best practices. Assisting with the management of daily operational activities. Managing internal and external stakeholder relations. Manage and create metrics pulled from existing and new databases. Host post completion meetings to review budget vs. actual budget assessments. Contribute to development of precon and construction standards to create process controls and improve overall quality. Qualifications Business Degree or equivalent with 5 years’ experience in a similar role or cost estimating role Experience working with Construction projects. Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent proficiency in English. Demonstrated experience working in a team environment as well as working independently with minimal supervision. Experience presenting to all levels of management. Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to function across all levels of a complex, culturally diverse matrix organization. Strong level of autonomy and self-accountability. Ability to formulate solutions prior to escalating issues and keep sensitive to all risks and impacts of solutions.
