Job Title: Cost Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cost Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning, performing takeoffs, reconciling construction contractor’s costs, conducting Excel analyses, and developing detailed spreadsheets. Responsibilities

Plan and execute project takeoffs.Reconcile and verify construction contractor's costs.Conduct detailed Excel analysis and develop spreadsheets.Collaborate with the construction management team.Engage in change order processes and negotiations.

Essential Skills

2-5+ years of experience in construction management.Proficient in Excel for analysis and spreadsheet development.Background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.Experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD software.Interest in specializing in cost engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) processes is a plus.Strong negotiation skills for handling change orders.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
