They allocate data center opportunities between bitcoin mining and other high performance computing services, such as AI. They continue to develop there pipeline of power capacity at high-quality data center sites, either for bitcoin mining or HPC. Position Description: We are seeking a Cost Engineer to manage budget development, cost tracking, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting across a portfolio of fast-paced hyperscale data center construction projects. This role bridges project execution and corporate finance, ensuring cost data is accurate, timely, and decision-ready. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction cost engineering or project controls, and a proven ability to coordinate multiple vendors and contractors within a lean organizational structure. Responsibilities: + Develop and maintain project budgets through all phases, including conceptual estimates and control budgets. + Ensure alignment between scope, schedule, and cost baselines. + Track and manage original budgets, approved changes, and forecast at completion. + Monitor real-time project costs and produce accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts. + Identify early warning signs of cost overruns, burn rate acceleration, and cash flow risk. + Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts aligned with project schedules. + Review vendor and contractor invoices for accuracy, compliance, and progress alignment. + Track and manage change orders, potential change events, and contingency usage. + Develop standardized cost reporting and dashboards across projects. + Provide consistent financial data to PMO and executive leadership. Qualifications: + 8–15+ years of experience in construction cost engineering, project controls, or commercial management. + Strong background in heavy commercial, industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects. + Experience managing project budgets from multi-million to hundreds-of-millions dollars. + Solid understanding of construction contracts, cost behavior, and forecasting. + High proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and cost tracking tools. Preferred Skills + Experience with data center or mission-critical facility construction. + Knowledge of fast-track or design-build delivery models. + Experience working with corporate finance teams and accounting systems. + Familiarity with change management and claims avoidance. Education & Certifications: + Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or equivalent experience.
