Cost Accounting Manager
Job Title: Manager of Cost Accounting

Job Description

Join our Global Accounting team as a Manager of Cost Accounting, where you will play a key role in leading and managing a team within the Global Cost & Operations Accounting group. Reporting to the Director of Global Accounting Operations, you will also manage a team of offshore individuals through our outsourced vendor in Kolkata, India.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the team to execute all accounting and reporting activities related to inventory, reserves, and transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other statutory reporting requirements.Partner with various groups such as FP&A, Supply Chain, Corporate Tax, Disbursements, and I.S. to ensure proper accounting of inventory, including site support.Collaborate with accounting management regarding the proper application of US GAAP and company policies and procedures.Serve as the lead contact for Corporate External Reporting, Corporate Audit, External Auditors, and Tax Compliance to provide audit/reporting support and analysis.Lead ERP and automation implementations related to Cost & Operations Accounting, ensuring proper design, documentation, testing, and training of personnel.

Essential Skills

Expertise in cost accounting and accounting principles.Strong people management and leadership skills.Proficiency in S4 HANA / SAP systems.Experience in cost accounting within the pharmaceutical industry.CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Doctorate degree with 2 years of finance or technical accounting experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of finance or technical accounting experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of finance or technical accounting experience.2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA preferred.Audit or Big 4 Public Accounting experience.Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.Strong technical US GAAP knowledge, particularly in the area of Inventory.Outstanding written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge cultural differences.Initiative-taking and the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.Experience leading projects, managing staff, and working with cross-functional teams.Team/Contractor supervision experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience working with general ledger systems (SAP and S4 HANA).Industry experience is advantageous.

Work Environment

You will manage a team of 4-5 individuals. The position requires working the first shift in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. The dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $63.00/hr.
