Corporate Treasury – Program & Data Management, Vice President

The Treasury and Chief Investment Office (TCIO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for firm-wide asset and liability management, directly influencing the composition and activities of the firm’s $2.5 trillion balance sheet across all major lines of business. Within TCIO, the Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) Program Management Office plays a critical role in supporting LRI change programs to support daily reporting of Regulatory Liquidity Risk across the globe.  

This team leads and manages the book of work to resolve a substantial backlog of issues and regulatory reporting rule changes affecting the LRI architecture. They also support the LRI review and testing of all upstream source system developments for impact to LRI consumption of transaction and position data.

As a business analyst/project manager within the Corporate Treasury Middle Office team you will work with LOBs, source data providers, cross-functional and LRI technology partners to drive solutions and support regulatory and management reporting. By combining robust governance, advanced analytics, and effective stakeholder engagement, you will help the team drive continuous improvement towards straight through processing of data onto regulatory liquidity reporting for our regulators across the globe.

Job responsibilities:

Within the Agile framework, support our Initiatives by partnering with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Technology Teams, Stakeholders and Operations functions to forecast, track and report progress across the global program; highlighting competing priorities, dependencies and risks.    Project manage allocated workstreams to adhere to Agile processes and ceremonies, collaborating with LRI Agile teams to support business requirements,  identify gaps and drive remediation of issues in Sprint. In particular manage the workstream for consumption of upstream transaction and position data change feeding into the LRI platform, coordinating with originating businesses for details of change, analyze for liquidity impact, coordinate testing and LRI change to accommodate the balances.  As required, support the operating model for Liquidity Data Quality Management, including DQM/Jira reconciliations, analytics, and status metrics. Create agendas, host and minute working group meetings, and facilitate stakeholder communication. Produce and present scorecards and high-quality presentations for executive level management. Organize complex information strategically, demonstrating sound judgement and expertise in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools. Support LRI Release Management controls and clean up / maintenance of good Jira Hygiene across the LRI Jira Boards Conduct or coordinate root cause analysis, system/data gap analysis, and measure materiality of data issues as needed.  Assist with testing and defect reporting/resolution  Provide high responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Experience in Agile-driven programs, with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Jira lifecycle. Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills; able to synthesize and draw conclusions from large data sets. Knowledge of some trading and/or traditional banking products, such as loans, commitments, deposits, borrowings, cash, securities trading, securities financing, derivatives and prime brokerage. Ability to organize and communicate complex information, including high quality presentations to senior management or cross-functional teams. Ability to project manage competing priorities and diverse stakeholders in a matrixed, fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable leading groups and speaking in large forums. Attention to detail, curiosity, and ability to grasp large amounts of information quickly. Self-starter with a track record of setting and achieving goals, and a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Background in Treasury, LOB Operations, Credit/Market Risk or Capital reporting beneficial. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word); experience with Tableau and SQL a plus.
