Join the Corporate Tax team!
As a Tax Associate in the Corporate Tax team, you will gain exposure to tax accounting and compliance assignments from a US federal and state and local tax perspective. From a tax accounting perspective, the Associate will become knowledgeable of the components and calculations of the effective tax rate and deferred taxes pursuant to ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109). From a tax compliance perspective, the tax associate should be familiar with the federal, state and local corporate income tax filings for the firm. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with the US tax aspects of international operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Compute current and deferred tax provision and liabilities on previously identified book-tax differencesAnalyze new transactions to determine potential book-tax differences and other related tax accounting treatmentMonitor new Accounting policies and pronouncements to determine proper tax treatment of such new emerging issuesAssist in preparation of separate entity Annual Report tax footnotes as applicablePrepare federal, state and local corporate income tax returns for a variety of firm entities. This includes gathering and analyzing financial information to properly determine the impact on such tax returnsDocument all tax return support in Corporate Tax’s workflow databaseAd hoc tax research related to various tax return positionsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Minimum 2+ years of relevant tax accounting and compliance experienceExcellent communication, organizational and attention to details skills; self starterAbility to effectively use various programs such as Microsoft Office, AccessPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Accounting degree preferredAn MBA with emphasis in tax, or an MST and/ or a CPA license is a plusBig 4 accounting firm experience is preferredKnowledge of Onesource RS tax compliance software is a plus and preferredSAP is a plus
