Corporate Paralegal (Fully Remote/ Part Time)

Description

A fast‑growing startup is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join on a part‑time, 6‑month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented, highly organized paralegal who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys a mix of corporate, administrative, and legal operations work.

You will support the company’s sole in‑house legal professional, helping manage a wide range of corporate documentation, equity updates, employment agreements, and administrative tasks. This role offers flexible hours, a fully remote setup, and the potential for workload growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and organize corporate legal documents and contracts.

Maintain and update equity records using Carta (required).

Support execution and tracking of employment agreements and onboarding documentation for new hires.

Assist with legal operations tasks and general administrative support.

Organize and maintain electronic legal files and documentation repositories.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and provide clear, timely communication.

Help streamline processes to support the efficiency of the Legal functio

Additional Skills & Qualifications

3–5 years of experience as a corporate paralegal in an in‑house or law firm environment.

Proficiency with Carta (must‑have; used heavily for equity updates).

Strong understanding of corporate governance, equity documents, and contracts.

Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience preparing and managing legal documents.

Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Must be comfortable working remotely and during the required Tue–Thurs West Coast hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
