Freese and Nichols is seeking a Corporate Meeting Planner. While San Antonio is the preferred location, this position is also open to candidates based in Houston, Fort Worth, Frisco, Austin, Charlotte, Raleigh, Rogers, or Tampa. As a Corporate Meeting Planner you will advance Freese and Nichols' sales and marketing goals through professional conferences, external meetings and special events. This role manages midsize events and organizes Freese and Nichols' involvement in professional conferences.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conference Management: Organizes Freese and Nichols' participation in 30+ professional conferences. Exercises judgment in recommending participation levels. Coordinates project teams including management of all pre-conference logistics, organizing staff attendance, communications, timelines, and participation. Plans and directs packing and shipping of conference exhibit materialsStakeholder Management: leads conference/event strategy discussions and offers recommendations with stakeholders and senior leaders; Stakeholder management skills involve identifying understanding stakeholder requirements and expectations, building trust and developing communication strategies to effectively collaborate with them. Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders during the planning process. Maintain clear, proactive communication that builds trust and encourages collaboration. Anticipate potential issues and resolve conflicts in a way that reflects event priorities and stakeholder needs.Event Management: oversees midsize events with sales objectives (20 - 125 attendees) including vendor contract negotiation, managing event RSVPs, creating strategic and tactical plans for events; providing on-site support on an as needed basis.Metrics and Reporting: evaluates the return on investment for specific activities at each conference, including sponsorships, exhibit booths, and client events. Conducts post-conference reconciliation and closeout inclusive of tracking and reporting of statistical data.Identifies conference areas and processes for improvement or efficiency.Understands the A/E/C industry, including the capabilities of Freese and Nichols and individual employees. Understands our strategic plan, sales processes, and communications strategies.Contributes to other areas of Marketing when needed.Qualifications6+ years of corporate meeting planning experience Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, marketing, or other related disciplinesPreferred Qualifications:
