Our client, a premier manufacturer in the food industry, is seeking an EHS Manager to join their team. As an EHS Manager, you will be part of the Environmental Health and Safety department supporting multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Corporate EHS Manager
**Location:** Rochester, NY 14606
**Pay Range:** $120,000 - $135,000
**What's the Job?**
+ Plan, develop, implement, and coordinate safety functions, policies, and programs to prevent accidents and continuously improve safety performance.
+ Conduct hazard risk assessments and implement systems for incident prevention across all facilities.
+ Collect and analyze incident statistics to identify root causes and trends; ensure safety technology tools are utilized effectively.
+ Oversee the Workers Compensation program in collaboration with Human Resources.
+ Develop and conduct safety training programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and documentation for all employees.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field and/or 10 years of experience in a supervisory/safety role (manufacturing environment required, food processing preferred).
+ Knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations.
+ Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of employees.
+ Experience in writing policies and procedures, and rolling out safety programs.
+ Proven ability to mentor and influence teams across multiple sites.
