DescriptionThe Corporate Director leads a high-performing team of indirect sourcing and contracting professionals and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, clinicians, researchers, and business partners.
The role is accountable for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with organizational priorities, support patient care and academic excellence, and advance the maturity of the supply chain function.
Strategic Leadership & Value Creation
Stakeholder Partnership & Governance
Establish a strategy for governance to include:Accurately identifying and categorize 100% of your indirect spendEnhancing control - i.e. percentage of your high-dollar purchased services are under a standardized, measurable contractsFostering culture of creativity, process, and unity - i.e. aligning stakeholders using well defined sourcing processes and tools and tracking compliance and performanceEstablish a category management modelPartner closely with executive leadership, clinicians, researchers, and business owners to understand needs, challenges, and objectives related to suppliers and contractsAct as a trusted advisor, influencing decisions through data-driven insights, market expertise, and strong business acumenLead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and governance structures to ensure alignment, transparency, and accountabilityChampion a customer-centric mindset that enhances service levels and strengthens relationships across the Healthcare enterprise
Indirect Sourcing, Contracting & Supplier Management
Lead enterprise sourcing, negotiation, and contracting activities for goods and services, ensuring optimal commercial and contractual outcomesDirect supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting processes to achieve best value, preferred terms, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigationDevelop and leverage supplier relationships and capabilities to support innovation, continuity of supply, and long-term valueOversee contract lifecycle management, including development, execution, storage, performance monitoring, and complianceEnsure a centralized, accurate, and accessible contract and sourcing repositoryPeople & Team Leadership

Lead and support enterprise procure-to-pay (P2P) process improvements, system enhancements, and policy updates to increase efficiency, compliance, and user experiencePartner with Supply Chain Operations, Finance, Digital, and other stakeholders to drive end-to-end process integration and optimizationLeverage data, analytics, and technology to inform decision-making, track performance, and demonstrate valueCompliance, Risk & Policy Management
Collaborate with the Office of the General Counsel to develop and maintain standardized contract templates that align with organizational risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and best practicesEnsure sourcing and contracting activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policiesIdentify and mitigate supplier, contractual, and market risks to protect the organization and ensure continuity of supplyEducation, Training & Change Leadership
Design and implement sourcing and contracting education and training programs for supply chain staff and internal stakeholdersLead change management efforts associated with new sourcing strategies, processes, systems, and policiesPromote supply chain literacy and strategic engagement across the organizationTravel: Travel may be required between Emory affiliated locations.
Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office
