Join the Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships Team at Chase and play a role in all strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions at the heart of the most important business decisions across the consumer franchise. This team’s specific focus is on Offers & Shopping, Experiences, Loyalty, and Cross-Business platforms.
As a Senior Associate in Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships, you will think strategically, build and leverage relationships across various lines of business, and play a crucial role in aiding the team through the entire deal lifecycle, including strategy, execution, and implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional partners and project stakeholders to drive business results and support the overall business growth strategy. In the role the main focus will be two-fold;
First, you will play a pivotal role in developing and expanding the Chase Offers & Shopping platforms, with a particular emphasis on the growth of the recently launched Chase Media Solutions and the Shops at Chase. The Corporate Development team has been instrumental in forging the partnerships and investments that have brought these innovative products to life, and our next phase of work will be dedicated to exploring and executing ventures to ensure their continued success.
Second, you will lead initiatives around the strategic development of the Chase Experiences platform, exploring new ways to integrate third-party events and experiences onto Chase’s platform. To support these initiatives, you will collaborate closely with product teams to secure groundbreaking partnerships that boost consumer engagement, while working alongside a distinguished group of executive leaders to drive business growth in these key areas.
In addition, you will also support the team’s work on Loyalty and Cross Business platforms. You should be comfortable leading strategic analyses across multiple projects, forming meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and understanding how to lead through influence across a large, multifaceted organization. You will play a key role in helping the team support Connected Commerce’s senior executive leaders to deliver value to our businesses and to Chase’s customers.
Job Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally within Chase and JPMC in identifying and supporting the execution of key partnerships that align with business objectivesCollaboratively develop partnership strategy with the lines of business by gathering data, conducting analysis, and making strategic recommendationsContribute to the development of partner proposals, including the overall vision, and more specifically partnership economics and product integration effortsWork alongside finance, legal, risk, control, compliance, and other functional partners to develop financial business cases, deal constructs, and other key terms associated with partnershipsMonitor the external environment to identify competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and communicate relevant insights to key line of business partnersEnsure adherence to policies and procedures by supporting the execution of deals and business development activities in accordance with established controls and policies, key functional partners, and Corporate Development guidelinesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Candidate must have at least five years of work experience; BS degree or equivalent qualification requiredHigh degree of curiosity and interest in how Offers & Shopping and Experiences can enhance customer engagement or customer experience (CX), especially within the financial services spaceStrong interest in enhancing customer engagement and customer experience (CX), particularly within the financial services industry.Demonstrated ability to analyze customer behavior and develop strategies that drive brand loyalty and satisfactionA high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadershipStrong communication, presentation, and influencing skills – ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resourcesAdvanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skillsOpen, collaborative, team-oriented operating stylePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
