As part of AT&T’s Corporate Development (M&A) team, you’ll support the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives. Through our apprenticeship-based development model, you’ll receive formalized training and then become a key part of a deal team, giving you the opportunity to learn on the job and take on increasing levels of responsibility as you grow in the organization. You’ll work on transactions across multiple industries and product categories, and of various types and sizes, and get exposure to some of the most complex, transformative, and interesting deals around. And your work will help to shape the direction of one of the largest companies in the world. What you’ll do
Work closely with senior management to identify targets, define strategic rationale, and evaluate potential transactionsUtilize discounted cash flow and other valuation techniques to assess economic value of potential transactionsCreate detailed financial analysis including pro forma scenarios to assess impacts to AT&TDevelop presentation materials for AT&T Officers and the AT&T Board of DirectorsSupport the due diligence process and the structuring and negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreementsPlay an integral role in actively managing both internal and external stakeholders and all aspects of the M&A deal execution processWhat you’ll need
Excellent analytical abilities and financial modeling skills, including working knowledge of financial theory, accounting, Excel, and PowerPointThe ability to deliver high quality and accurate work products in a timely mannerHigh level of personal accountability with an excellent work ethicStrong oral and written communication and presentation skillsCapable of quickly learning and assimilating new information and skillsWillingness to relocate to Dallas, TXWhat you’ll bring
3 or more years of relevant work experience in a finance-related fieldMBA or master’s degree preferred with a Finance or Accounting concentrationReceived or will receive graduate degree by May 2026Our Corporate Development Associates earn between 130,700.00 - 196,100.00 USD annually.
