As part of AT&T’s Corporate Development (M&A) team, you’ll support the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives. Through our apprenticeship-based development model, you’ll receive formalized training and then become a key part of a deal team, giving you the opportunity to learn on the job and take on increasing levels of responsibility as you grow in the organization. You’ll work on transactions across multiple industries and product categories, and of various types and sizes, and get exposure to some of the most complex, transformative, and interesting deals around. What you’ll do
Work closely with senior management to identify targets, define strategic rationale, and evaluate potential transactions
Utilize discounted cash flow and other valuation techniques to assess economic value of potential transactions
Create detailed financial analysis including pro forma scenarios to assess impacts to AT&T
Develop presentation materials for AT&T Officers and the AT&T Board of Directors
Support the due diligence process and the structuring and negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements
Play an integral role in actively managing both internal and external stakeholders and all aspects of the M&A deal execution process
What you’ll need
Excellent analytical abilities and financial modeling skills, including working knowledge of financial theory, accounting, Excel, and PowerPoint
The ability to deliver high quality and accurate work products in a timely manner
High level of personal accountability with an excellent work ethic
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
Capable of quickly learning and assimilating new information and skills
Willingness to relocate to Dallas, TX
What you’ll bring
3 or more years of relevant work experience in a finance-related field
MBA or master’s degree with a Finance or Accounting concentration required
Received or will receive graduate degree by summer 2025
