Northrop Grumman has a unique opportunity for a senior attorney to join its global Investigations Team, reporting to the Assistant General Counsel and Director, Investigations and Government Disputes. We seek a self-motivated attorney who will direct and conduct significant independent investigations, manage the company’s response to government investigations and subpoenas, provide analysis of complex and varied issues, and supervise outside counsel on matters relating to allegations of unethical or unlawful conduct. The issues are sensitive and confidential and often require collaboration or negotiation with government officials to resolve. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem solving, is excited about working on a range of matters and who maintains a high level of intellectual curiosity. Experience at the Department of Justice (including as an Assistant U.S. Attorney), the Department of Defense, or an enforcement agency is helpful but not required. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: •Leading independent investigations and responses to government investigations and subpoenas •Performing investigations autonomously or, where appropriate, supervising the work of outside counsel or internal personnel •In complex, significant, and sensitive matters, taking responsibility for all aspects of an investigation, including risk assessment, fact gathering, analysis, counseling, and implementation of any corrective actions •Interacting and negotiating with, and responding to requests from, representatives of government agencies •Advising management and employees concerning risk assessment and mitigation relating to various business activities undertaken by the corporation, including compliance with the policies and procedures of the company and applicable laws and regulations We are looking for a candidate with the following: •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Exceptional integrity, analytical skills and judgment •Ethical leader who encourages collaboration, teamwork and motivation of others **Basic Qualifications:** •A JD and Active state bar membership •A minimum of ten years of directly related experience, including significant experience conducting and managing significant investigations •US citizenship and the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. DoD security clearance **Preferred Qualifications:** • Experience with the Department of Justice (including as an Assistant U.S. Attorney), the Department of Defense, or an enforcement agency •Previous in-house experience, especially with a corporation of comparable size and complexity to Northrop Grumman •Experience working with outside counsel to direct activities •Previous experience with government contract law and/or the Department of Defense •Active security clearance Salary Range: $221,600.00 - $318,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
