Cushman & Wakefield EMEA Legal team are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and commercially minded lawyer seeking a new challenge. Following the merger of Cushman & Wakefield and DTZ, the business has experienced significant growth and became publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2018. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive, positive mindset and a strong commercial approach to legal problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide commercial legal support across multiple service lines, including Asset Services, Occupier Services, Integrated Facilities Management, Project & Development Services, Brokerage & Capital Markets, Consultancy, and Valuation & Advisory.

Advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters, including support on M&A and other corporate transactions.

Draft, negotiate, and finalise a wide range of commercial client contracts and responses to RFPs.

Negotiate and draft commercial supply agreements, including licensing, consulting, and services contracts.

Manage and resolve claims and disputes, coordinating with external counsel and insurers where required.

Liaise with legal colleagues and business stakeholders globally to support cross-border and international agreements.

Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks associated with contractual arrangements.

Maintain and manage internal governance, controls, and approval processes for contract execution.

Deliver legal training and guidance to commercial teams across the business.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal precedents and knowledge resources.

Support the supervision and development of junior members of the legal team.

Skills & Experience:

Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience (or equivalent).

Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts with minimal supervision.

Proven ability to manage and resolve legal disputes effectively.

Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to deliver pragmatic legal advice in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Strong judgement and ability to identify and manage legal risk.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with legal and non-legal stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global, matrixed organisation.

Construction and/or real estate experience is desirable but not essential.
