Job Description
This role requires overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP and other appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will mentor and support the accounting team, developing internal controls to protect company assets and manage timely month-end close and reporting. Collaborating with the FP&A team for cash flow forecasting, you will also establish financial and operating benchmarks in coordination with the CFO. The position involves directing financial audits, analyzing financial data, leading treasury management, and serving as the Finance and Accounting point of contact for various departments and consultants. Implementation of financial information systems and monitoring overall financial health are also key aspects of this role.
ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Mentor and support the accounting team, fostering an environment of trust and productivity.Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and comply with company policies.Manage timely month-end close and create month-end and quarterly reporting packages.Collaborate with the FP&A team for cash flow forecasting.Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards.Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.Analyze financial data and present accurate financial reports.Lead treasury management responsibilities, including vendor relations and credit term reviews.Serve as Finance and Accounting point of contact for HR and compliance consultants.Assist in implementing financial information systems.Monitor the organization’s overall financial health and advise senior leadership on process improvements.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.10+ years of experience in finance or accounting.5+ years in a manufacturing environment.Experience in cost accounting, transactional accounting, and inventory.Knowledge of automated financial reporting systems.Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCPA or 15+ years of relevant experience strongly preferred.Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, ITAR, and EAR is a plus.Experience in M&A and Purchase Accounting.Familiarity with DCAA Audit.Preferred experience in Big 4 accounting firms or Private Equity-Backed companies.Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines for Government cost accounting is a plus.Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring a minimum of three days on-site per week, specifically Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. It is located in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
