Corporate Affairs Project Coordinator

We are seeking a socially driven and detail-oriented Corporate Affairs Project Coordinator to join our Sustainability and Corporate Affairs team. This role will play a vital part in advancing Dollar Tree’s Community Impact and Culture & Belonging initiatives by supporting the development, implementation, and expansion of programs that align with our social impact and talent management strategies. The position is based at our corporate headquarters and focuses on enhancing community engagement and associate well-being across our more than 9,000 stores throughout the United States and Canada.

As the Corporate Affairs Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting high-impact initiatives that reinforce our commitment to the communities we serve and promote a workplace culture where every associate feels valued and included. In this role, you will coordinate projects, manage communications, plan events, and provide project management support across both our Community Impact and Culture & Belonging initiatives. This position reports directly to the Director of Community Impact and the Director of Culture & Belonging.

Responsibilities
Community Impact
· Support the execution of Community Impact initiatives by aligning with key stakeholders and managing end-to-end delivery of programs, including philanthropic and in-kind contributions, nonprofit partnerships, community grants and sponsorships, the Dollar Tree associate relief fund, associate volunteer efforts, and disaster response initiatives
· Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to raise awareness, drive engagement, and maximize participation in community-focused initiatives
· Serve as a liaison with external organizations, including nonprofit partners and community groups, to coordinate and facilitate initiatives
· Assist in implementing strategies that engage associates in community activations, such as partnership and sponsorship events, volunteer opportunities, and giving campaigns
· Implement reporting processes to track impact, measure growth, identify areas for improvement, inform strategy, and demonstrate the value of Community Impact efforts
· Partner with the Communications team to promote community initiatives to internal and external audiences, enhancing visibility and awareness
· Working closely with the marketing communications agency to deliver community impact content and materials across various channels, including email, social media, websites, in-store signage, and event activations

Culture & Belonging
· Support Culture & Belonging initiatives aimed at fostering a workplace where all associates feel respected, included, and empowered to contribute to their fullest potential
· Assist in the implementation of program strategies and collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals
· Provide administrative and logistical support for Culture & Belonging programs and events, ensuring seamless execution and positive associate experiences
· Support the operations of Associate Resource Groups (ARGs), including onboarding, training, development of guidelines and templates, and initiatives to boost engagement, visibility, and business impact
· Contribute to communication efforts by creating content, managing the Culture & Belonging SharePoint site, and supporting internal messaging
· Serve as the point of contact for communications related to cultural observances, holidays, and celebrations, helping to promote awareness, inclusion, and appreciation across the organization

Department Support
· Assist with budget management, ensuring efficient and responsible allocation of resources across programs and initiatives
· Coordinate partnership and grant agreements, including drafting, review, and execution
· Manage invoice and partner payment process, including tracking and processing invoices
· Support meeting and calendar scheduling, travel, and other related logistics

Required Qualifications 
· Bachelor’s degree in public affairs, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
· 1–2 years of experience, which may include internships or similar early-career roles, in areas such as community impact, community relations, corporate philanthropy, corporate partnership development, event planning, or inclusion and belonging
· Demonstrated experience in project coordination, communications, or program support focused on community impact and/or culture and belonging
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational, project management, and time management abilities
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
· Creative problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and a proactive, customer service–oriented mindset
· Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours for events and program-related needs
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred
· Experience working in a corporate or matrixed environment with cross-functional collaboration
· Working knowledge of culture & belonging principles and best practices
· Experience coordinating both in-person and virtual events, including logistics and vendor/partner management
· Familiarity with contract management systems and data tracking/reporting platforms
· Comfort using content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) and internal communications platforms (e.g., SharePoint, intranet tools)
· Ability to analyze and interpret program data and develop reports or dashboards to measure impact
