Key Responsibilities:

Build strategic relationships with key procurement and policy decision makers to elevate HPE’s profile on Networking and build mindshare.Develop and execute public affairs strategies to support the growth of HPE’s public sector Networking and Networking for AI business.Execute a thought leadership campaign to elevate HPE’s reputation as an end-to-end IT tech stack provider with government officials.Advance HPE’s policy priorities.Represent HPE at external meetings relating to issues of concern for our business.

Key Success Criteria:

Ability to quickly establish new relationships with government stakeholders.Ability to quickly understand HPE’s strategic commercial priorities and key policy areas, including technology policy.Analyze, interpret and communicate the policy environment and provide real time updates to HPE management.Quickly develop a clear understanding of how Corporate Affairs fits into the broader business and build close working relationships with office colleagues and the global organization.The right candidate is a self-starter with strong adaptability, flexibility, and agility.Ability to deliver strategic business outcomes in highly matrixed environments.Capacity to prioritize diverse business interests.Gravitas to interact with senior commercial leaders.

Education and Experience Required:

Previous experience engaging with the Australian government is essential.At least 5 years’ experience in corporate and/or public affairs – in-house at a technology company, consultancy, or industry association.Experience working in highly matrixed organisations is a distinct advantage.A knowledge of technology policy issues is a strong advantage.Excellent written and verbal English essential.Strong communications skills (verbal, written, interpersonal).Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, while maintaining excellent attention to detail.Ability to demonstrate initiative and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Candidate must be at ease with change.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
