**Job Title: Corn Sorter** **Job Description** As a Corn Sorter, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of corn by safely sorting and removing discard items, ensuring only undamaged seeds progress in the drying process. This role operates in a fast-paced, climate-controlled environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols to maintain quality and safety standards. **Responsibilities** + Abide by safety policies and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while completing all work tasks. + Follow lock out/tag out, E-Stop, and other equipment safety processes. + Maintain the cleanliness of the work environment, including sweeping and removing debris. + Sort corn to maintain quality, identifying off-type ears and other defects. + Re-husk and sort discard items as corn passes on a conveyor belt. + Assist with kernel cleaning during material changes. + Report accidents or safety violations promptly to the Team Leader or Supervisor. + Participate in incident investigations as needed. + Maintain cleanliness in break rooms by following posted expectations. **Essential Skills** + Ability to work with hands at a quick pace. + Capability to stand or sit in an elevated position for extended periods. + Experience working with a moving conveyor belt. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Regular and reliable attendance. + Reliable transportation to and from the assignment location. + Adherence to site seatbelt and mobile device policies. + Proficiency in sorting, picking, and general labor tasks. **Why Work Here?** Join a leading agricultural company dedicated to helping farmers feed the world while protecting the planet.
