**Job Title: Corn Sorter** **Job Description** As a Corn Sorter, your primary task will be to monitor a conveyor system to ensure all corn is viable. You will be responsible for pulling discolored, rotten, or incorrect crops to the discard pile and sending corn with husks to re-work for de-husking. This role requires the ability to walk up and down stairs and stand for prolonged periods. The environment is not temperature-controlled and may be dusty due to corn and insecticides. **Responsibilities** + Monitor conveyor system to ensure corn viability. + Remove discolored, rotten, or incorrect crops to discard pile. + Send corn with husks to re-work for de-husking. + Stand for prolonged periods and climb stairs as necessary. + Adhere to strict tobacco-free site policies. **Essential Skills** + Ability to stand for long periods of time. + Capability to climb stairs occasionally. + Proficiency in speaking and reading English. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Steel toed shoes required. + No educational requirements. + Candidates can start pending background check and must pass drug test. **Why Work Here?** This is a temporary position for 8-10 weeks, offering $17.00/hour with potential for productivity and attendance bonuses. Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a shirt that covers the shoulders are required. The site is strictly tobacco-free, and employees are permitted to leave during their 30-minute lunch break but not during paid breaks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract/Temporary position based out of Tipton, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
