The OpportunityNetflix is seeking a VFX Coordinator to join our Post Production & VFX team in Jakarta, supporting Indonesian original scripted productions. This role is a key partner to local Creative, Production, and Post Production teams, helping bring Indonesian stories to life at the highest creative and technical standards.
As Netflix continues to invest in Indonesian storytelling, this role plays an important part in strengthening local production workflows, supporting the growth of the VFX community, and contributing to the evolution of the production ecosystem in the region. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of ownership, a commitment to collaboration, and pride in supporting local content creation.
ResponsibilitiesVFX Project Management & DeliveryTrack VFX progress of scripted titles from prep through final delivery
Create VFX progress reports or summaries to keep the Creative team and other internal stakeholders updated on the VFX status
Maintain data accuracy in tracking documents and tools in alignment with Netflix VFX workflows
Ensure final VFX deliveries are on schedule, correctly versioned, and meet Netflix technical specifications
Creative & Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with producers, directors, and internal stakeholders to define the VFX needs for each project
Support VFX leads in reviewing VFX budgets and schedules, ensuring that the vendor bids align with production needs
Coordinate VFX reviews, feedback sessions, and key meetings with Creative and Post Production teams
Assist in reviewing VFX shots and assets to ensure that they meet the required technical and creative standards before final approval
Support clear, timely communication to anticipate issues and facilitate problem-solving
Vendor & Industry EngagementSupport coordination with local and international VFX vendors working on Indonesian productions
Maintain an up-to-date database on current and potential VFX vendors in the Indonesian market
Assist with evaluating vendor capabilities, workflows, and delivery performance
Support local partners in evolving production practices, including Virtual Production and emerging technologies where applicable
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in VFX production for features or scripted series
Ability to create VFX shot breakdowns and preliminary schedules during early development
Strong understanding of VFX workflows and pipelines
Familiarity with production tracking and collaboration tools such as Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid), Airtable, FileMaker, and Google Workspace
Working knowledge of third-party VFX vendors
Experience with Virtual Production and/or emerging technologies is a plus
Fluency in English and Indonesian required
Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
