Position Summary:

Responsible for all Transportation support services for Gordon Food Service. This will include maintaining, improving, and constructing departmental business processes.

Schedule: This is a fully in-office role, five days per week, with a scheduled workday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Essential Functions:

Compiles weekly paperwork for Transportation employees and submits to payroll to ensure accurate pay on time.

Answers emails to resolve problems or concerns for Drivers/Reps/Customers.

Maintains trip reports and mileage records and reports changes.

Provide Sales Service Drivers and helpers with the necessary paperwork and assets for completing their daily tasks

Driver check in/out

Keys control (Tractor & Store)

Record keeping of assets coming in and out of the office

Processing route paperwork, including checking for completion

Documenting deficient paperwork 

Communicating late routes via email to sales/customer care/transportation/ELT

Highlight and record concerns and issues through the Customer & Driver Experience Tracker

Tracking incoming uniform packages and ensuring they are distributed to the correct individuals

Other duties as assigned

Adhere to the policies and procedures of Gordon Food Service

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Demonstrated experience working in an effective, results-focused team environment.

Proven ability to organize and manage time effectively, handling multiple projects and deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational skills.

Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Forms, Slides, etc.).

Demonstrated problem-solving skills for developing innovative solutions.

Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities requiring ingenuity and innovation.

Flexibility to work weekends and statutory holidays as required, subject to change based on business needs.

Education and Experience:

High School / Equivalent
