**Job Description**
**Summary:**
Manage and lead the translation team to provide a high-quality translation service for AutoZone Departments. Coordinate translation projects to ensure completion within defined scope, quality and time constraints. Assign workload, direct translators’ activities and participate directly on translations to ensure productivity and quality goals are met according to AutoZone standards. Review and evaluate translators’ work and prepare performance reports. Ensure company goals, values, policies, and procedures are accomplished.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assign workload and provide guidance to Direct Reports in performing daily tasks. Review and evaluate performance, motivate staff, schedule and monitor training and assess progress of the employees. Provide cross training for all positions so that the department will be diverse enough to properly handle any situation.
+ Convert written material from one or more source languages into the target language ensuring that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original text
+ Coordinate translation projects to ensure completion within defined scope, quality and time constraints. Run and analyze diverse reports and communicate progress to management
+ Ser as primary contact for problem resolution, information gathering, and coordination with other teams. Investigate and resolve customer complaints or problems in the timeliest manner possible. Make recommendations to management on process changes to eliminate repetitive problems
+ Workforce management. Selection, performance, rewards, recognition, promotions, talent development, morale, satisfaction, discipline, corrective action, scheduling, attendance, and payroll.
**Requirement:**
+ **Level of formal education:** A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
+ **Area of study:** Foreign languages
+ **Years of experience:** 4-5 years
+ **Type of experience:** Translator, editor, language teacher, leadership or personnel supervision.
+ Special certifications or technical skills: TOEFL (English-Spanish), CELPE-BRAS (English-Portuguese), great knowledge in automotive terminology, computer skills, CAT tools (Trados)
+ **Other/preferred:** Excellent communication skills. Able to perform simultaneous translation. Automotive knowledge. Leadership and coaching skills
