RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinates Commission on Cancer accreditation and related activities.
• Serves as the Performance Improvement representative for the Cancer Committee.
• Coordinates Quality Oncology Practice Initiative certification and related activities.
• Coordinates oncology clinical program initiatives and related accreditations.
• Plans and coordinates special programs/assignments as required.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Constant: sitting.
• Occasional: walking, standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years work experience in healthcare demonstrating an understanding of healthcare or hospital processes and the ability to coordinate and achieve program goals and objectives.
• Prior experience with healthcare accreditations and certifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytic skills and the ability to summarize information and prepare accurate reports.
• Highly skilled in the use of computer applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, including proficiency in electronic medical records.
