MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. About The Job: This position includes both the cook and dietary aide functions. Descriptions are the same for either position unless noted. COOK: Food preparation and production according to department requirements for quality, quantity, safety and nutrition, while meeting established meal schedules. Maintains sanitary environment including dish washing. DIETARY AIDE: Responsible for providing assistance in food production, tray preparation and service, dish washing. Maintains sanitary environment. The Position: 1.0 FTE 80 hours per pay period. Pay: Starts at $16.50, increases with experience. Shift: Sunday-Saturday, Weekend, and Holidays. Position Qualifications: + Education: + High School diploma or equivalent certificate preferred. + Experience: + Previous experience in food service of 4-5 years is preferred. + Special Skills & Aptitudes: + Must be able to read, write and speak effectively to identified customers. + Ability to follow oral and written instructions. + Must know recipe preparation techniques, including measuring and cooking processes. Knowledge of cooking terminology is required.
