CookFull Time, First Shift
The Food & Nutrition Services team at Baptist Health Corbin plays an important role in supporting patient health and comfort through high-quality meal service. Food and Nutrition Services' goals are to provide a variety of nutritional, safe, attractive, healthy food choices for patients, visitors, and staff. Cooks, prepares presents, and serves food items. Ensures that food is prepared in a manner which is nutritious, safe, properly flavored and in compliance with sanitation and safety requirements, and accrediting agency
Job Description
Cook and prepare meals using standardized recipes; ensure correct portions for patient diets.
Support special events and next-day production; maintain food quality and taste.
Follow infection control practices, proper labeling, dating, and rotation of food items.
Keep dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage areas clean and organized.
Operate food service equipment safely; report malfunctions.
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment using approved chemicals.
Adhere to hospital safety policies, dress codes, and infection control procedures.
