**Job Title: Cook** **Job Description** We are seeking a talented and dedicated cook to prepare and cook afternoon and dinner services. You will grill and prepare poultry and vegetables based on the dinner menu, ensuring high-quality service to customers at all times. **Responsibilities** + Prepare and cook meals for afternoon and dinner services. + Grill and prepare poultry and vegetables according to the dinner menu. + Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving various food items such as soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts. + Trim and cut meat, poultry, or fish for culinary use. + Read food orders or receive verbal instructions and prepare food accordingly. + Operate various kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables. + Adjust recipes to accommodate attendance for any given day. + Order necessary groceries and stock on a daily and weekly basis. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience as a cook in a similar setting. + Ability to prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. + Possession of an unexpired Food Handler's Card. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working in a slower-paced, family environment is a plus. + Ability to provide quality service in a low-stress cooking job. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy free meals and a supportive work environment. The environment is slower-paced and family-oriented, offering a low-stress cooking experience compared to other locations. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of San Mateo, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
