Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled cooks to join our team, with two openings available. Ideally, candidates will have open availability from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM, including weekends, though we are flexible with days and times. In this role, you will perform various food service production activities, including the pre-preparation and preparation of hot and cold foods for patient services, retail, and catering operations, while adhering to all dietary requirements. You will handle and store food properly in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and prep food items by cutting, chopping, slicing, dicing, pureeing, marinating, washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding vegetables and fruits, along with weighing and measuring designated ingredients.Follow standardized recipes and utilize various cooking techniques such as sautéing, broiling, braising, blanching, baking, grilling, deep fat frying, and steaming using a variety of institutional equipment.Ensure proper food quality and serving temperatures.Chill and store foods in designated areas, following all labeling, dating, food safety guidelines, and rotation procedures, and complete designated food safety quality control logs.Ensure compliance with special dietary requirements, nutritional restrictions, allergens, modified textures, and other special dietary needs.Clean kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas to ensure conformance to the highest level of sanitation.Provide customer service in a professional and friendly manner, following food safety and portion guidelines.Assemble meals according to the menu, diet order, and correct protocol.Ensure work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during, and after the shift.Clean and sanitize work station and utensils.Use equipment and materials properly and safely.Essential SkillsFoodservice experienceKnowledge of food preparation and cooking techniquesUnderstanding of food safety guidelinesAbility to work on a tray lineExperience as a line cookAbility to clean and sanitize work areasFamiliarity with food production processesAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to follow dietary requirements and nutritional restrictionsExperience with special dietary needs and allergensStrong organizational skillsExcellent customer service skillsWhy Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
