Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our hospital kitchen team, serving over 700 guests daily. The ideal candidate should possess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment and be comfortable working in an isolated area while following directions accurately.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare large batches of food with precision and care.Ensure food preparation meets the hospital's standards and dietary requirements.Maintain excellent customer service, particularly in interactions with patients.Lift and transport items up to 50lbs and push carts weighing up to 100lbs.Adhere to strict hygiene and appearance standards while working in the cafeteria.Essential SkillsMinimum 1.5 years of experience in large batch cooking.Minimum 1.5 years of experience in food preparation.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to work effectively with difficult individuals and understand patient situations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in hospitality and restaurant settings.Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is within a hospital cafeteria, requiring adherence to hygiene standards and dress codes such as covering tattoos and avoiding facial piercings and heavy fragrances. Shifts are available between 7AM-8PM, with rotation on weekends and shifts split between 7AM-4PM or 11AM-8PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AUSTIN, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $18.00/hr.
