Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing ingredients and following recipes to ensure accurate and efficient food preparation.
Apply cooking techniques and follow established recipes to cook food items to the appropriate temperature, taste, and texture.
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation by monitoring cooking processes, tasting dishes, and making necessary adjustments.
Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked with ingredients, utensils, and equipment. Follow sanitation and food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food preparation.
Manage time effectively to meet required preparation and cooking times, ensuring that dishes are served promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED preferred.
2+ years’ experience in food preparation and food knowledge or equivalent education/certification.
Certificate/License: Level 3 Occupational Illinois Gaming Board License; Illinois Sanitation Certification.
Salary Range: $18.00 per hour (Entry Level)
