Controls Technician
**Job Title: Automation & Controls Technician** **Pay: Depending on experience & interview** **Location: Auburndale FL** **Shift - 1st / 2nd shift | Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday's** **** **Job Description** Join a dynamic and industry-leading company in Auburndale, FL, as an Automation & Controls Technician. This role offers the chance to be part of a growing team within the maintenance and automation department, contributing to the development and upkeep of cutting-edge systems. **Responsibilities** + Perform advanced maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems. + Execute hands-on work with VFD and PLC wiring. + Troubleshoot low and high-voltage systems. + Install and maintain electrical control panels and wiring systems. + Diagnose and repair motors, drives, and relays. + Repair components requiring welding, plumbing, or fabrication. + Replace high-load components such as bearings, shafts, and actuators. + Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. + Identify sensor types based on drawings (photo-eye, thermal, magnetic, etc.). + Manage CMMS systems and utilize HMI, programming, and robotics technology. **Essential Skills** + Electrical and controls systems expertise. + Experience with VFD's and PLC wiring. + Proficiency in ladder logic and relay logic. + Ability to diagnose and repair AC/DC motors, servo motors, and relays. + Capability in troubleshooting automation systems. + Knowledge of pneumatic systems and industrial maintenance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Leadership experience. + Networking and controls systems proficiency. + Documentation skills. + CapX project experience. + Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and Siemens PLCs. + Familiarity with mechatronics and electro-mechanical systems. + Experience with Six Sigma methodologies. **Why Work Here?** Experience a rewarding career with numerous benefits including 13 paid holidays, 401k match, prorated PTO, comprehensive insurance packages (medical, dental, vision), and engaging company events. Training and work on both 1st and 2nd shifts will be required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburndale, FL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
