Controls Technician
Job Title: Controls/Automation Technician

Job Description

Join a leading North American company specializing in the production of folding cartons and packaging boxes. Our facility plays a crucial role in transforming scrap boxes into pure paper rolls, which are then sent to other sites to create packaging solutions for well-known brands.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the Stock Prep Department in processing recycled products to remove impurities.Ensure paper machines efficiently manufacture paper rolls for packaging.Provide on-call support for the night shift to address any technical issues.Troubleshoot and edit ladder logic and diagrams to optimize automation processes.Essential Skills4+ years of experience as a Controls/Automation Technician.Proficiency in automation systems including ABB, Allen-Bradley, and ladder logic.Ability to interpret and edit ladder logic diagrams.Knowledge of OSHA Electrical Safety Standards.Experience working with AC and DC drive systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with automation systems such as Panther, Delta V, Honeywell, or Valmet.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role operates within a union environment and involves a rotating on-call schedule to support night shifts. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wabash, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
